SendPigeon

Getting started

Clone and install dependencies (need PHP ^5.6 and Node ^5.0):

git clone git@github.com:assertchris/sendpidgeon.git
cd sendpigeon
composer install
npm install

Build the front-end files (need Gulp ^3.8):

gulp

Migrate the database:

php artisan migrate

Copy the environment file:

cp .env.example .env

Enter the various service details into this file (check https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-j8haoUZNMeqK8KMnf_-522PtTrM2p89ww6ZwwTH_IY/edit).

Mail

The easiest way to get email is to define the following .env settings:

MAIL_HOST=
MAIL_PORT=
MAIL_USERNAME=
MAIL_PASSWORD=

I've set up an account on https://mailtrap.io/, which provides details resembling:

MAIL_HOST=mailtrap.io
MAIL_PORT=2525
MAIL_USERNAME=416831d9793516df5
MAIL_PASSWORD=47b07ba743e92e

Mailtrap traps email (sent to any email address) in a virtual inbox. It's great for testing real email sending!
